A new UrbanTerror video that i made as show case for high frame-rate capture application: to gain motion-blur effect due to frames-blending. This source video was captured at 1250 fps. Using frames blending in Sony Vegas, down-sampled to 60fps video. High frame-rate capture is also ideal for good quality slow-motion (stretched) footage editing.
Some focus on this video editing was to work with color curves to get the vibrant, cartoon-ish look. Also short footage cuts to keep the video dynamic.

The guns are smaller because he set the field of view larger (instead of seeing 90 degrees, I’d guess that to be above 110 degrees). It means he can see more, but everything is thinner, including the guns.

Sad thing that Linux doesn’t have not even one decent graphic and game interface FPS, similar to Combat Arms or sumthin’, the scoping action here is lame, and the character models are lame, the graphics are lame, all they did was make everything bright colored.
But an augmented version of Counter Strike is better than nothing.

[..YouTube..] @ArhkXi : Both CS and UrT came from the same “era”: 1999-2000. Where CS became retail and UrT remained a mere Q3A mod.
While CS became more popular among the mainstream FPS gaming as e-Sport game. UrT became more loyal to the Q3A game-play style: fast-paced with emphasis on both movement combined with aiming.
So in terms of game-play, they are the opposite of each other rather than “an augmentation of CS”.
Also, graphics does not make the game-play but they are working on the graphics for 4.2.

But UrT game-play is still no where near, as boring as, CS. Albeit you _could_ play it as CS by moving slowly and careful. But it will not work the other way around.

Like they say: “Don’t judge a book by it’s cover”. For gaming it’s: “Don’t judge a game by it’s graphics”.
Games _should_ be primary judged for it’s game-play and not just the graphics.

I play AVA also, and its much more realistic, but UrbanTerror’s motto is “Fun over Realism”.
It doesn’t completely ditch realism, but it just makes it a bit more fun.
